Dianne started treating 'Juno' my older horse for stiffness which was due to arthritis and I saw a vast improvement in her mobility, which saw her well into her late twenties. My younger horse Phoebe came down with laminitis in 2007. Dianne treated her frequently for stiffness and I am convinced that her recovery period was helped due to Dianne’s treatments. In July of 2008, we won our first Supreme Championship at our first show….wow!!

Phoebe was diagnosed in March 2009 with bone spavin, but with careful husbandry/shoeing/diet/work and the help of Dianne, Phoebe pulled through and has been competing at Riding Club level in all three disciplines with huge success.

A few months ago, Phoebe managed to get her hay net off the wall and her hind legs caught up in it. A frantic phone call later, and Dianne gave me some over-the-phone advice whilst she arranged to re-visit. Two weeks later, two wins at our local Hunter trials and an amazing weekend at Hartpury proved that whatever Dianne had done, had worked…..a sound horse. I can honestly say, that without Dianne’s continued support and treatments, I would not be competing Phoebe at this level, if competing at all. Her knowledge and advice is second to none

Amy was our first alpaca and very dear to my wife Sue and I, but she was never the strongest and suffered from a slight curvature of the spine. During her last pregnancy she appeared to be having difficulty and the birth was a difficult one which left her with a prolapsed uterus. She started to have trouble getting into the Cush position and could only get so far down before falling to the side. She had also difficulty going to the toilet. Our vet prescribed pain killers and she had a full examination and a full set of bloods for testing, all of which gave no clues as to what was happening.

Our vet said if she showed no further improvement then we would have to consider having her put to sleep. A breeder friend asked if we had thought about McTimoney - we had never heard of that before but were willing to try anything given the prognosis. We looked it up and found Dianne Bradshaw.

Dianne was very professional and explained clearly what she was going to do and started treatment. Amy does not like to be handled by humans and her instinct is to take flight. Dianne had an amazing effect on Amy who seemed to know she was trying to help her and was so relaxed she was almost asleep as Dianne treated her.

To cut a long story short I was not expecting much and truthfully thought we were wasting our time, but thought any treatment was better than the alternative on offer. I was very quickly made to eat my words, Amy started to get up and down without falling over in the first week and then was able to so normally. After a few weeks her prolapse had improved to almost normal, and her spine had straightened out. I would not have believed it possible without witnessing it myself, Dianne worked wonders for Amy and transformed her life for her, I have since recommended Dianne to a number of breeders, and in fact when my wife Sue injured her back, Dianne was the first person I called with equally good results but that’s another story

After 20 years of ongoing and varied manipulative treatments on my back and neck, I came to consider having a session of the Bowen Technique as just another vain attempt to relieve my chronic pain and fatigue. Dianne fitted me in at the end of her first day back after the New Year - it turned out to be the best New Year I can remember.

Initial treatment was weekly, gradually becoming less frequent until now, eight months later I am having a top up treatment every 3 months. I can now sleep in whatever position I chose and am nowhere near as grumpy. I have also noticed a significant improvement in my energy levels and am feeling so much more like my old self.

Following a recommendation from a friend I went to see Dianne with terrible lower back pain, which was relieved by a few Bowen treatments.

During the first consultation she took an in depth history of aches and pains and I mentioned an old problem with my left hip. I had been referred by my GP to see a physiotherapist about the hip, who gave up; I had an MRI scan and was told by the consultant that a hip arthroscopy might help but he could not give any guarantees, so I declined and decided to live with what had become a pretty constant discomfort in my hip.

Dianne said that she felt that she could help with my hip pain as well as the lower back and the change has been extraordinary. I now now longer think about my hip and am 99% pain free.

My black cat "Dolly Mix" had torn her cruciate ligaments in her left hind leg and needed surgery to repair them which was successful but left her with restricted movement and looking very depressed and quiet in herself. I found Dianne at a meeting I attended and asked if she thought her Bowen treatment would help her improve and after only a few hours of her first treatment I could already see changes beginning to show. By the next day I had My "Dolly" and her personality back again - joyful and happy as she was before her accident.

Her mobility improved over the next month and by her 3rd treatment she was able to go up and downstairs again, jump onto the bed and sofa and was racing around the garden and scratching at her favourite tree stumps!

She has not had treatment for 6 years now but this year she was looking very uncomfortable with her back arched upwards so I called Dianne again and a single treatment brought her back to being flatter and relaxed and she was her old self again.

I also used Dianne for my other cat "Minimus" who suddenly started walking very strangely with his back and hind legs much lower than his front and immediately after his gentle Bowen treatment he walked completely straight again.

Our boxer dog 'Sid' was diagnosed with spondylosis of the spine just before his 3rd birthday. Symptoms included, stiffness, persistent lameness & muscle wastage in his right hind leg.

We needed to find a treatment to redress the situation as much as possible, (the alternative was prescribed pain killers). Bowen treatment & Dianne were recommended to us by a reputable dog trainer, so , with the approval of the orthopaedic vet we booked Sid in. Sid had 6 treatments over the first 3 months and made significant improvements, the lameness and stiffness noticeably reduced.

We are now 3 years on and visit Dianne every 3 months for 'top up' treatment to keep Sid aligned. He has no muscle wastage now & the stiffness & lameness is very rarely seen. Nobody would know he had the condition!

Several years ago I was the owner of 2 horses and 3 dogs, plus several other horses were kept at my stable yard. I found Dianne's details and read up about the treatments she offered and because I would not use an untested therapy on my animals I went to see her myself first. My complaint at that time was Plantar Fasciitis which I had suffered from for a prolonged period of time. Some relief had been obtained from strapping from a traditional chiropractor and I had basic insoles in my boots and shoes and I stopped wearing wellington boots, but it had never really gone away and I had learnt to live with it.

So I arrived for my appointment and was surprised to be met by a lovely petite and calm lady, thinking how can she work with my big horses, but I explained my problem and Dianne proceeded with her gentle and reassuring manner to assess me and treat me. Well, the treatment was a revelation because it did not hurt at all and I had had some very painful experiences at the traditional chiropractor. So that was the first bonus, but the most incredible thing was that from that day forward I have not had the heel pain back from the plantar fasciitis and it has thankfully become a distant memory.

Since then Dianne has treated me for knee pain, lower back pain, wrist pain, and a frozen shoulder, not all at the same time and usually caused by something to do with my animals for example being knocked over by an enthusiastic 2 year old mare, or shifting the muck heap, or slipping in the mud while walking the dogs. Amazingly Dianne has always been able to take the pain away and allow me to carry on with looking after my animals and children. She would always discuss with me the cause of any problems and we would agree on whether to use McTimoney or Bowen treatments.

My lovely Lurcher / Lab cross who when only still young, about 5 years old began to suffer from pain when he woke up from a sleep. He would sleep well but as he began to uncurl and try to stretch he would squeal and show signs of pain. This would then diminish as he started moving. We went to the vet and spent a fortune getting x rays only to be told it was not arthritis and they did not have an explanation.

So I called Dianne and she made her first visit to see Slim. He was very wary at first and was not very welcoming to Dianne as he was in so much pain, but after the first couple of Bowen moves he began to relax and he was so much improved. He has had several other treatments over the years as he would put his pelvis out of line when playing ball/catch and chasing around after swimming in water. He is now nearly 12 and his quality and length of life has been because of Dianne's care and attention.

My other wonderful dog, Max, a Golden Retriever, also had Dianne's care when he suffered from Vestibular Syndrome. Once the falling over had subsided he was left with a head tilt to one side that the vet said would probably be permanent. So cute though it was to see him looking at me in a quizzical way, I knew it would not be doing his neck or spine any good. So Dianne came to see him and after a couple of treatments with Bowen he was looking straight again and all the tension in his back and shoulders left over from the Vestibular was taken away and he was again able to lollop along happily.

That of course leaves my big horses, who I was sceptical about Dianne treating at that first visit because she was so petite. Well of course she was amazing with them and they trusted her straight away. Oliver, my big grey thoroughbred, had the most treatments as he was my dressage horse and it was important to keep his back pain free and to keep him working straight. Dianne always helped him and improved his way of going and allowed him to enjoy his work and to live on some quite steep hills which was my grazing at the time.

So all in all I am deeply indebted to Dianne for her care and consideration and patience in dealing with me and my collection of animals over the last 12 years or so. I am very grateful to know that she is there to help me deal with any twinges or spasms for myself and now although I only have "Slim" left as a pet, I know that my pets have had a better life with her treatments and Slim can still count on her as he heads into old age.
